After the taffy is made, our select Taffy Bomb flavors head straight for the freeze dryer, a powerful machine that vacuum seals the taffy in a chamber while removing any moisture at a very low temp. While in the freeze dryer, the taffy puffs up like a balloon, changing in texture and shape while turning into crunchy color balls. Once this candy preservation process is finished, the dehydrated taffy is promptly packed to ensure freshness.
